Quality Assurance
- The role of QA Analyst is to test the map in accordance with
GAP and Map Kit. EDI Testing involves the following steps
- Study of GAP for understanding of Business Logic
- Study the record iteration sequence
- Test output for multiple test data for logic Validation
- Progressive code Testing to improve quality & compactness of
map
- Populating expected output based on test data & logic (Validation)
and then verify the actual output (Verification) in the GAP by
using color indicator (usually red) for bug identification
- Mapping Factory uses Ultra Edit and Beyond Compare Tools for
Map Testing
Map Delivery and Deployment
Once a map has been tested and passed by QA, the map is ready to
be deployed for Production. A package is created by the Mapper containing
the following file
- Mapping file in EDI Translator format e.g. (.eif for WPG )

- GAP Analysis/File Mapping Document
